Shakira at Oxford

December 9, 2009 By Megri

Colombian singer Shakira arrived at the Oxford Union, Oxford University, in Oxford southern England. She spoke about her charity work in South America. The Unicef goodwill ambassador. who has run her own charity since she was 18, used her speech to stress the importance of education for all. The ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer revealed: “That is how I want the youth of 2060 to see us: That our mission for global peace consisted of sending 30,000 educators to Afghanistan, not 30,000 soldiers. “That in 2010, world education became more important than world domination.”
